Treasure Mania

Welcome to the wiki of Treasure Mania game on Facebook.

The new Treasure Mania is a big step and it requires that all Preview users restart the game from level 1.

Contrary to the Preview, the new release of TM will be complete with gold spending and many new features from the start. Some parts of the game will need to be unlocked or will simply be enabled later on, but nothing will prevent you from moving forward.

As with any major new release, we will probably uncover some bugs in the early days after launch and fix them as quickly as we can. We will also use the community's feedback to make some tweaks if needed to make the game better. Until all this is fixed the game will be considered in “beta phase” for a while.

Afterwards the game will continue to evolve as we have plenty of ideas to improve it and lots of stuff to add. But the game will keep on going and you won't have to start again from scratch.

Below we will fill-in the details on what you will keep when we switch to the new version, and some insights on the new features that will be unveiled soon…

You will keep your team members all the same.

(if you get the impression that some are missing, it's probably a Facebook glitch which can be fixed by reloading the page)

XP Level will be reset to zero. The new version introduces different rules to gain XP and to advance through levels and unlock maps.

Mini-game skill points will be reset too: we introduce a new ranking system, with a bonus game that can earn you extra fruit, yummy!

There will be plenty of new maps and these are filled with new stuff that you can search and unlock using different items, equipment, etc. Sometimes you will need something that you can find in the map, sometimes you'll have to go buy some item and come back.

Your Gold will be converted with a very low exchange rate. That's because Gold will become very important and this way it will be way more fun!

Your fruit will be reset.

Gifts and Wish-lists will be reset because the new game works of a different set of treasures, with new many artifacts that you have never seen before.

Each Treasure Collection donated to the Preview Museum will earn you 1 Sir Adams point, or rather the new currency that replaces Sir Adams points with the same purpose. Also, the donated Preview collections will be saved for you as Preview souvenirs, which you will see in a special tab in your profile.

In the new game you will find plenty of new treasures, and many of the old ones too.

You will keep most of your achievements, in addition to special achievements that only the Preview may have earned you:

• An achievement that says you played the Preview, and which level you reached
• A special achievement for those who completed all maps of the Preview

The achievements that will be reset are those that concern the collections you donated to the Preview Museum. But these collections will be listed and visible in your profile.

All these Preview-based achievements will require a little time after the switch in order to appear. Don't worry if you don't see them right away.

Here are some tips & tricks on how to play Treasure Mania Preview version on Facebook. The game is currently available as a preview, so things will change.

At present you can only use one health pack a day. DON'T use it if you are very close to finishing a level - when you finish a level your health is refilled, so if you use a health pack and only play two tiles your refill will only be worth a few digs. Better to go away and come back in a while, play the last couple of tiles to finish the level THEN use the health pack.

If you have a full set of one collection you can donate to the museum, this will give you one 'Sir Adam' and 1 extra HP point, you can get the items again while digging, putting them on your wish list or swapping with friends.

Every time you complete a level you will get 1 'Sir Adam' point [you can also buy Sir Adam points]

9 'Sir Adams' will buy you a health pack but as they take a while to collect be cautious how you use them.

If you need items you can post a list of five in the game. Click on the collection link, under the item you need click on add to wish list. All of your friends will be able to see this when they click on your profile link and if you're lucky will have a spare you can use. you can also publish your wish list onto your FB profile page for all your friends to see easily.

Skill levels on games - every time you win a game you get 2 skill points, if you loose the game you loose 1 point but you do get to keep trying till you win.

The rank influences how difficult the mini games are; if you loose a few times your rank will drop and the game will become a littler easier again.

About the GOLD (GP): in the Preview you cannot spend Gold, this will come with the complete release of Treasure Mania.

Here are some tips & tricks on how to play Treasure Mania Preview version on Facebook. The game is currently available as a preview, so things will change.

Everyone’s old favourite for passing time, in the early stages it is quite easy but can get frustratingly difficult after level 30

KEYS

up arrow = rotate piece Left arrow = move piece left Right arrow = move right SPACE BAR = drop piece straight away Down Arrow = drop piece faster «< only use if you have to wedge a piece in place (see tips)

TIPS

You get way more points if you make several lines at a time. So you should build high i.e. build all but 1 column, once you have four or more and as soon as you get a 4 x 1 piece use that to get 4 in a row, doing that 3 times will win you the game. It is always better to try and get as many rows at once if you can rather than getting each one separately.

Always try to use the SPACE BAR to drop pieces straight away only use the down arrow when a piece needs slotting in (see next tip) it really does make it a lot easier to win the game.

If your first piece is green or pink place it in the centre, you have a little time after a piece lands to move it left or right so use an L shape or similar, use the down arrow to drop it next to the shape then quickly hit the left or right arrow.

Keep an eye out at the top of the game as it shows you which piece will be next and will help you place the current one.

Very similar to the popular bubble popping games, you can get a nice high level on this game with a few tricks.

TO PLAY: use the mouse to point the shooter then click to shoot.

TIPS Try and aim for groups high up then you can drop quite a few at once. Bounce the pearl on the side, remembering it will bounce off at the same angle it hits, it takes a bit of practise but after a while you should be able to finish the game in no time at all.

Like the game we all played with cards when we were small, match a pair and they will stay tuned.

TO PLAY: simply click on the square and then the one you think is a match.

TIPS Even with a bad memory it is possible to get quite far with this one… my memory is terrible and I've not lost a game YET! I find trying to remember all the details to much so I just say the colour of each in my head as I open them, it’s not perfect and you often click two blue but different ones, it’s a lot more accurate than just random clicking though!

Similar to Tetris in that you have to rotate and drop pieces but in this case you need to get groups of four or more of each piece, they then disappear and are shown on the collection board to the left.

KEYS: up arrow = rotate piece Left arrow = move piece left Right arrow = move right Down Arrow = drop piece faster SPACE BAR = Piece will drop instantly

TIPS As soon as a new piece appears glance at the box which tells you what will come next it will help you decide where to place the present piece.

Once you have one or two sets completed and highlighted green on the left have two or three spaces to the left or right where you can dump them and carry on trying for the ones you need in the rest of the space.

As with Chetris it is really important to use the SPACE BAR to drop jewels straight away, once you have rotated them of course! it gives you a huge speed advantage and makes the game much easier to win.

The aim of the game is to match 3 or more if the same type of gem which will then be cleared off the game board.

TO PLAY: Use the mouse click and hold on the piece you wish to move then move the mouse in the direction you want it to go, or click the each of the two gems which are side by side and they will swap.

TIPS Try to make matches at the bottom of the board as these quite often that causes a cascade and you will get several matches all at once. Try to match longer lines of 4 or 5.

If you can’t see anything don't touch the board for a while but watch carefully, two swappable gems will wiggle to show you where a match is.
